We Didn't Start By Booking Travel.
Long before we planned a single itinerary for a client, we were already deep inside the travel industry: covering destinations, building relationships with hotels and tourism boards, producing travel content, and experiencing the world in a way that most travel advisors simply haven't. That work spans more than 15 years.
Our experience wasn't built in a classroom or through a certification course. It was built on the road: on press trips to Cancún and the Riviera Maya, on FAM trips through Las Vegas and the Caribbean, on editorial assignments that took us inside the properties, restaurants, and experiences that define a destination. Booking travel is the result of 15+ years of that experience. It was never the beginning of it.

Our Story
It started with Family Vacation Hub, a family travel media brand built around honest, experience-driven coverage of destinations, resorts, theme parks, and family-friendly experiences across the United States and Mexico. Through Family Vacation Hub, we developed relationships with tourism boards, hotel groups, and attraction partners, and we began producing the kind of editorial travel content that travelers actually relied on.
That work expanded under ConnectHER Media, a digital media company focused on lifestyle, travel, and creator campaigns. ConnectHER Media deepened our work in influencer and creator travel: organizing group travel experiences, producing travel campaigns for brands and destinations, and connecting content creators with the travel industry in meaningful ways.
Both brands eventually became part of Z Star Digital, a modern media and creative agency producing premium content across travel, lifestyle, and culture. Z Star Digital brought everything together under one roof: editorial storytelling, content production, brand partnerships, and destination marketing, and gave us the infrastructure to do it all at a higher level.
Z Star Travel grew naturally from that foundation. It is not a pivot or a rebrand. It is the logical next step for a team that has spent years inside the travel industry and is now putting that experience directly to work for travelers.

Some of our coverage comes from first-hand experience: press trips, FAM trips, hosted stays, and personal travel that took us inside the properties, restaurants, and experiences we write about. When we recommend the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach in Cancún or suggest the Riviera Maya over the Hotel Zone, it is because we have been there, not because we read about it.
For destinations we haven't visited personally, we bring the same editorial standards we apply to everything else: deep research, industry relationships, and a commitment to accuracy over convenience. We are transparent about the difference, and we never recommend something we wouldn't stand behind.
Either way, our recommendations are grounded in years of travel industry experience. That is what separates editorial travel planning from simply booking a trip.

Z Star Travel is an editorial travel publication and travel planning company. We publish destination guides, hotel reviews, restaurant coverage, and travel itineraries across the destinations we know best, and we use that same editorial depth to plan travel for our clients.
